Accessibility Statement

We want Trailspot to be usable by as many people as possible, including people using a keyboard, a screen reader, or browser zoom. This page lists what we've done so far and what's still in progress.

What's implemented

• A "skip to content" link at the top of every page for keyboard users, so you don't have to tab through the header on every page load.
• Every interactive element — tour cards, the FAQ accordion, sort controls, search, breadcrumbs — is built on native, keyboard- focusable HTML elements rather than click handlers on non-interactive elements.
• Visible focus outlines on every clickable element, so keyboard navigation is easy to follow.
• A tour with no current availability is shown as plain text, not as a link that looks clickable but isn't — some assistive technology doesn't respect a disabled link the way it looks visually.
• Descriptive labels on the search box and live-region announcements when search results update, and aria-current on breadcrumbs to mark the current page.

What's still in progress

• A formal WCAG AA colour-contrast audit of our design tokens.
• Manual testing with a screen reader (NVDA/VoiceOver) across the main page templates.
